The term Blood Diamond (or Conflict Diamond) refers to diamonds mined in war zones and sold to fund violence, weapons, and armed rebel groups. Most originated in West and Central Africa, where innocent people were enslaved, mutilated, and killed, just to feed global demand.

What’s worse? Many of these diamonds still made their way into mainstream jewelry stores.
